On 17.09.2018 the time had come. On behalf of our client HHLA, Kontrapunkt organised the official event for the takeover of terminal operator TK Estonia in Tallinn. Customers and media representatives were invited in the morning, followed by an event for the 230 employees in the evening.

Two weeks before the official day, a blue container -a PR-effective symbol- went on its journey from Hamburg to Tallinn. It not only transported event technology to Estonia, but also became the star of a media-friendly show about the HHLA future project, which has already being called „Hanse 4.0“ by the press.

Star of the Show – a blue Container

The event started with speeches by CEO Angela Titzrath and Estonia’s Minister of Economics and Infrastructure Mrs. Kadri Simson, followed by Mrs. Titzrath and TK CEO Mr. Vladimir Popov taking action: The symbolic start of the cooperation was represented by an original customs seal, which was cut by both CEO’s Angela Titzrath and Vladimir Popov with a large bolt cutter.
Supported by dramatic music, fog and light effects, the doors of the container slowly opened.
The inside of the container revealed a LED wall on which the new HHLA / TK logo was presented in an elaborate animation.

After the ceremony, the V.I.P.s answered questions of the media representatives in the media centre.
The result: Well-informed guests and a great media response. The event was part of the news of the day in print and even on Estonian TV.
