For the second consecutive time Kontrapunkt was awarded the Sustainable Company Certificate by FAMAB – Verband Direkte Wirtschaftskommunikation e. V., a German professional association. The certificate recognises the live communications agency’s sustainable management of resources in its work processes. Apart from awareness of natural means of production and consumable materials, for Kontrapunkt this also includes fairness towards clients, suppliers and employees. The Hamburg-based agency had already been successfully certified in 2013 after a comprehensive audit. The assessment is carried out by FAMAB together with the state-recognised climate protection agency, CO2OL; the certificate is valid for two years.
„Climate change and a fast-moving society prompt us to act”
Under the certification process companies are assessed in eleven different categories, among others energy and CO2 efficiency, waste, mobility and procurement as well as internal and external communication processes. “Climate change and today’s fast-moving society prompted us to pay greater attention to sustainability and act accordingly. We decided to become certified as a sustainable company three years ago and again this year to set our own guideline, according to which we have to and strive to act. Each and every colleague is required to take on responsibility and monitor happenings,” Kontrapunkt’s Managing Director, Stefan Rössle, explains.
„Fairness is the basis for long-term relationships”
Besides measures to promote and protect the environment, a company holding the Sustainable Company Certificate also has a sustainable corporate management system in place. This includes a corporate philosophy that defines the sustainable orientation of the company and fair relations with staff, suppliers and clients. “We place great emphasis on treating our market partners, clients and suppliers fairly at all times. This way we maintain long-lasting relationships that contribute to our agency’s efficiency and sustainability,” Stefan Rössle says.
