Kontrapunkt supports the City of Hamburg’s application

Finally, the time has come: by handing in the Bid Books designed by Kontrapunkt, Hamburg is officially applying for being the host city of the ITS World Congress 2021.

An important application for the city in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure: The World Congress of “Intelligent Transport Solutions” (ITS) is a major event. More than 15,000 participants are expected to attend in 2021. Therefore, Hamburg put a particular focus on the design of its application documents and awarded us with the creation after having successfully won the pitch process.

Besides the design of the 270 pages thick “application book”, we took over several other tasks, too. The expressive logo as well as the configuration of informative print works and an exhibition booth were part of our design work.

It was not the first Bid Book for us. We were already able to support the application for the Rotary International Convention in 2019. With the documents produced by us, Hamburg successfully stood up to Hong Kong and Macao during the pitch.

“With our focal point on live-communication and our high-performance in-house graphic department we combine two competences which are perfect for the creation of such application documents,” reports Stefan Rössle, CEO of Hamburg’s event agency Kontrapunkt. “Especially our expertise in city marketing and our substantial knowledge of the city were convincing arguments to award us with this important marketing task.”

The result

The result is a presentation that comnvinces with expressive pictures and good arguments why Hamburg represents the perfect host city location. “The fact that the handover of the Bid Books to the European ITS organization ERTICO in Brussels will be carried out by a delivery robot,” says Stefan Rössle, “will further demonstrate the city’s innovative power. Through this, Hamburg provides an excellent basis for displaying megatrends such as digitalization, automatization and automatization in the transportation and logistics industry. Now it is up to ERTICO to give their OK and Hamburg will be the world capital of intelligent mobility and logistics by 2021 at the latest.”
