Last Tuesday Kontrapunkt was in charge of setting up Germany’s largest creditors’ meeting. Commissioned by the insolvency administrator of the wind power company, PROKON, the Hamburg-based live-communications agency staged the event in Hamburg that was expected to be attended by some 10,000 of the altogether 75,000 Prokon creditors. In order to meet the negotiation requirements associated with such a large number of participants, Kontrapunkt converted the halls of Hamburg Messe [trade fair organiser], B5 and B6, into Germany’s largest court room and made sure that the non-public event went smoothly in line with legal requirements.
The creditors’ meeting was held to adopt a resolution on the continuation of the insolvency proceedings concerning PROKON Regenerative Energien GmbH. Around 75,000 investors acquired non-voting securities in the wind power company, which was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Itzehoe, Schleswig-Holstein. The company had filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of the year.
