At the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting on February 16th and 17th , all foreign ministers as well as representatives of several international organizations came together at the World Conference Center in Bonn.
This group of the twenty most important industrial and newly industrialized countries is an informal alliance from 19 States and the EU. Combined, G20 stands for nearly two-third of the world’s population, more than four-fifth of the global gross domestic product and three-quarter of the world’s trade.
Besides the 20 ministers, about 400 delegates and 800 accredited representatives of the press followed foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel’s invitation. Kontrapunkt’s office in Berlin supported the Department of Foreign Affairs regarding the planning as well as the realization on-site.
The foreign minister’s meeting was part of the German presidency in the G20 network and served among other things as a preparation for the G20 summit on July 7th and 8th in Hamburg.
