For the fifth consecutive time Kontrapunkt staged the “Hamburg Summit: China meets Europe”, the internationally most significant Chinese-European economic conference, in the Hanseatic City last week. The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce welcomed some 600 high-ranking figures from politics, business and science at its premises, among them China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, and the European Commissioner for Trade, Karel De Gucht.

To underpin the objective of the bi-annual conference, namely to improve the economic relations between Europe and China, Kontrapunkt developed an event concept that invited guests to interact and enjoy inspiring talks. Apart from a befitting conference set-up and conference branding, an evening event with entertainment encouraged networking at the economic summit.
